Premium College Football Picks Week 14
Virginia Tech -4.5 over Florida State
Florida State has some great athletes but cannot handle the power of Virginia Tech on either side of the ball. Since the first two games of the season Virginia Tech has played at a very high level. Florida State has beat up on the weaker sisters of the ACC but struggled stopping the better teams. V-Tech is very good against the pass which is Florida States preferred choice of offense. The one issue I have with Virginia Tech is their habit of getting down early in games. If they are close early they will win by double digits.
Auburn -6 over South Carolina
Auburn has done it all season and they will do it again to South Carolina in the SEC championship game. After watching last week’s game against Alabama there is no doubt in my mind that they are winning the national championship. Any team that can impose their will over Alabama after being down 24-0 on the road is a great team. You do not want to leave the voting for an eventual championship game in the hands of actual human beings when you have a computer to figure things out he said facetiously. Once again Auburn will struggle early but they will eventually wear down South Carolina as they have done to every other team this year. In their earlier meeting the Gamecocks could not stop Auburn on any drive I the second half and I do not think that will change in this big game. Give the points.
UConn +2 over South Florida
This is UConn’s chance to win the big east with no questions asked. They beat their closest rivals in West Virginia and Pitt and with a win here they are the big east representative. It will not be easy going into South Florida and getting a victory but I like their chances. South Florida beat Miami in OT last week and that was a game they were pointing for with recruiting and in-state rivalries on the line. I do not think they will be as focused as Huskies this week and UConn is better anyway. Take the points.
Nebraska +4 1/2 over Oklahoma
Although Martinez may not play in this one, the Cornhuskers are the tougher team and should outlast the Sooners who normally are not at their best away from Norman. Take the points
