Spartans hungry for Big Ten Title

Michigan State finds themselves rooting for Iowa this week as they host Purdue on senior day. If Iowa can defeat Ohio State it would most likely create a 1 loss tie between Wisconsin and Michigan State with the Big Ten Championship tie-breaker going to the Spartans. This week the Spartans come off a well needed bye week and get the struggling Boilermakers in East Lansing. It’s the last home game for seniors and emotions will be high.
As with many teams who have defenses that have been on the field all year, Purdue has been worn down and doesn’t seem to have anything left. Michigan State may be saving some for the Nittany Lions next week but expect the Spartans to come aggressively on offense as they try to regain some crispness that has been lost after midseason. Big play receiver Martin is back for the Spartans which should add to the offensive production and special teams return game. Michigan State should roll this week.
