Florida was beaten in this game before they even took the field. Their was really no back-up plan after Braintley went down in the Alabama game last week and their freshmen QB Driskel, his replacement, was also unavailable this week. Florida football is destined for another dissappointing year. LSU took control early as QB Lee threw a perfect strike to Rueben Randle for a 46 yard touchdown and you could have turned the game off at that point. Florida never mounted any serious threat and how could they going up against a great defense with no true quarterback behind center. The Tigers stuffed the run and beat up on the small Gator running backs. LSU was very physical on the ground as usual and Ware refused to go down unless the weight of four Gators was on his back. Lee seems better than ever and maybe the 5th year senior has finally put it all together. He is throwing strikes. Although he only threw 10 passes completing 7, he hit the open man and in stride on the 46 yard touchdown and a 57 yard completion down the left sideline. On that play he was about to get hammered but stood in the pocket and delivered a perfect pass that only his receiver could come down with.

    Bottom Line

In the SEC there is LSU, Alabama, and then everyone else. They are just so much more physical than the other teams they play. It is a shame there is only a slim chance they could play for a national championship. Mark your calendars for November 5th when they meet in Tuscaloosa.
