LSU beats Florida in typical LSU fashion 33-29

    Updated: October 11th, 2010
  • LSU played their best game from start to finish beating Florida 33 to 29 in another wild finish. LSU’s lines dominated on both sides of the ball. They pushed Florida’s defensive line around to the tune of 181 yards rushing. LSU’s defense is relentless and they were after Brantley all day long. Florida only mustered 12 first downs and the score was not indicative of the play as LSU clearly dominated. They used the two quarterback system well. Jefferson was there for the run and Lee stepped in when passing was needed.

LSU is undefeated and Florida now has two losses and this will now officially go down as a rebuilding year. I was looking at the remainder of the schedule for LSU and all they need to do to go undefeated is beat an undefeated Auburn on the road, Alabama at home, and then take care of Arkansas on the road. That is where I laugh at the TCUs and the Boise States of the world who think they have the right to play for a national championship over any one loss SEC team. They all play brutal schedules against the best competition in college football weekly. LSU has proven they are a serious contender at this point.
